Reminder: AtoM Contributors Gathering tomorrow

Hi AtoM Contributors,

Just a reminder that the AtoM Contributors Gathering is tomorrow, Thursday 18, June 2026 starting at 1:00pm UTC. Our first online session will start at 2:00pm UTC with an Artefactual welcome. We will then have sessions about the AtoM Foundation’s Technical Registry, demonstrations of extensions and plugins for AtoM, and a discussion of community contributions. The community contribution we are going to discuss is the proposal to go from a nested set model to a closure table model; you can read the design analysis and performance testing in this thread. We’d love to hear your thoughts in the Gathering or on the forum thread. 

We will finish the Contributors Gathering with our regularly scheduled Community Development Meeting. You can attend the whole Gathering or just join us for the final community development meeting.

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for the reminder and for organizing the Contributor Gathering.

I would very much like to attend, but unfortunately, due to a combination of personal circumstances as well as study and work commitments, the schedule does not work for me this time.

Will any of the sessions be recorded and made available afterwards? If so, I would be very interested in watching the recordings at a later date.

Thanks both for your interest in the AtoM Gathering.

We do not record the sessions as we try to keep them informal. I do share a summary of the Gathering on the Github wiki page here and will have something up by the end of the week.

I hope you are able to attend next time and join the discussion!
