Hey all

Following you'll find some info regarding food and food logistics as well as JD for main food responsible and assistant food resopnsibles. Once I've been in the hotel myself I'll be able to give you more info and instructions :)

General info
  • We have continental, indian and chinese food in our buffets... all final menus I have received are attached.
  • Fasting delegates will eat Iftar (morning meal) at 4 am before they head for morning prayers. Only delegates with a punched hole in their wristbands can eat the 4 am meal. They break their fast at 6:30 pm with something light and join the rest of the delegates for dinner later. We will have dates for fasting delegates to break their fast, these are not intended for normal delegates.
  • All meat we serve is halal meat, the only time pork might be served is for breakfast at Taj and it will be marked.
  • All meat will be marked (what kind of meat it is) or if it's vegetarian
  • Allergies: Everything with nuts, mushrooms, dairy, gluten and eggs will be marked
  • Take care of our delegate with the severe allergies: Reetta Laaksonen (allergies listed under the main food responsible JD)
  • Any concerns and questions can be directed to Freyja (9160894243) or Lena (phone number) - Food & Beverage - Delegate Servicing


    Main Responsible

     

  1. Coordinate with AI/session responsibles in case of changes in agenda
  2. Coordinate with kitchen and make sure food is on time, that all food is marked what kind of meat it contains or if it's vegetarian, anything with nuts, pork, mushroom, eggs, seafood, gluten/wheat since this is what people are allergic/intolerant to. Be aware of the ingredients of the food and what the names of the dishes stand for.
  3. Make sure there is always enough food while delegates are still eating and notify kitchen if more food is needed
  4. Assist delegates with any questions
  5. Make sure that Reetta Laaksonen (photo attached) gets food that she's not allergic to (her food is cooked separately), she's allergic to following things: all nuts, coconut & coconut milk, nutmeg; Fish & seafood; Apple, orange, banana, strawberry, pear, peach, plume, kiwi fruit, manadarine, peas, carrot, beans
  6. Note down any feedback or observations and give to Freyja to discuss with hotel in the end of the day



    Assistant Responsibles

     

  1. Check wristbands at the entrance (if someone doesn't have a wristband, they don't eat and they cannot enter the dining area!)
  2. Assist delegates with any questions, know what's being served and what ingredients it has
  3. Crowd control
  4. Help usher people back to plenary when sessions are starting
  5. Once most people are inside, one of them can leave
