OI OI!  HELLOOOO POLO PLAYERS!

I'm afraid i have some bad news: Fresher's is well and truly over.  

No more big parties.  No more dressing up.  No more organised entertainment.  Bugger.

HA! As if we'd let that happen. Don't get your speedos in a twist, The Water Polo Club is here to save you from a miserable pit of antisocial despair!

This Wednesday (26th October) at 7.30, we descend on the Union Bar for our FIRST SPORTS NIGHT! the theme is......

...WET 'N WILD!!

For those of you who have just joined our ranks, these will be the most exciting, colourful and entertaining nights of your lives.  And you get to spend them with your team.  What could be better??  Wednesday will involve: first round of team initiations, team challenges, competitions, prizes, men in mermaid costumes (merman), men dressed as Poseidon and the Triple Shot Trident.  Explanations of games and a full list of rules will be available at our table on the night.

Just by chance, our first sports night coincides with an ACC Night.  What does this mean? uh, hello, all your can drink (yes, unlimited booze) for 7 pounds.  I hope you just wet yourself with excitement.  but finish reading before you change your pants.

The only thing you have to do is stick to the dress code:

FRESHERS and NEWBIES (anyone new to the team, including grad students/masters students...Fernando, Marco, Fabrizio!): you are all to come as MERMAIDS/MERMEN.

OLDIES: you are to dress as Poseidon or any sea creature/character of your choice.

Worrying about how to make an awesome costume? Don't. Go to primark, get some fabric, raid your wardrobes and your housemates' wardrobes, GET INVENTIVE.  If you're seriously stuck, call my housemate Lisa (07585707099)- she is Imperial's queen of budget costumes.

If you get this email, you are now part of our team! and your presence is wanted (requested) for wednesday night! If you don't know the team (FRESHERS & NEWBIES), If you've missed being part of a team, if you want to drink, don't want to drink or just really want to dress as a mermaid, you will kick yourself for missing this.

Email me back NOW! to let me know you're coming so we can pair team members up (every fresher/newbie will be paired to an oldie for the evening).
