Sun, 6/2: National Day of Civic Hacking

Hi all,

Just thought I'd send a quick note about the OpenHack meetup this weekend.  We're doing something slightly different this time around, and having an event in the spirit of the National Day of Civic Hacking.  Everyone is invited to attend on Sunday like normal, but we'll have some projects to work on that will benefit the Iowa City community at large.

Specifically, we'll be working on at least a Ruby/JavaScript application for the Iowa City Animal Center to help them increase their adoption rate.  One of their board members will be attending, and I'm excited to see what we can create.  I've started pushing some code to GitHub in anticipation of this Sunday:
