Hello Everyone,

I realize that most of you who receive this email do not know Karna Booth. She and her family participated in the Bell Gardens church until the early 1970s when they moved to Hemet. We have had occasional contact over the years and upon Karna’s physical death on Thursday, her brother Gary called to let us know so we might possibly pass the word on to any we have contact with.

Karna needed oxygen 24 hours a day for the last 2 1/2 years. Around Christmas Karna was hospitalized because she couldn’t breathe. Doctors diagnosed three types of pneumonia which the medicines or treatments did not alleviate.

A memorial service is planned for Friday, January 17 at 10:00 AM at Hemet Valley Mortuary. Burial is at 1:30 PM at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier.

I asked Gary about his mother, Anna Booth. She is 98 years old and resides in an assisted living facility. He said, “she is still as sharp as a tack.” As of Thursday evening, Gary and his brother had not told Mrs. Booth about Karna’s passing and are considering when or whether they should tell her.

Gary continues to live in Whittier.

We do not sorrow as those who have no hope. Karna is with her Lord, Jesus Christ. He has faithfully fulfilled His promise that she would live “in the house of the Lord forever” because she was trusting Him alone for salvation. We pray for the Booths, and other family and friends, that remain in this life and ask God for His comfort and peace on their lives in this temporary separation.

Jim
