All,
Hi. My name is Mike and I am Woody’s son. I know many on this mailing list, but have not met everyone. As some of you are aware, my father’s health is deteriorating. He has become extremely weak. This onslaught of weakness started late last year and has been gradual but steady in its progress. His condition has accelerated considerably over the last 3 weeks. He was hospitalized over the weekend. He cannot walk, needs help to get out of the bed, and has lost much of his fine motor skill in his arms. The doctor’s we’ve consulted thus far do not know what is causing my Dad to become so weak. What they’ve basically said is that Dad is old and his body is starting to shut down. He was released from the hospital today, but his condition has not improved. Our last option may be a visit to the Mayo clinic. The doctor’s here were supportive of taking this step, but believe there will be nothing to be learned in going there. I know God has his timing for all things, and selfishly I pray for more time for Dad. Would you please pray for Woody and for our family? I will try to send updates periodically. If any of you would like to speak with my parents, here are their phone numbers:
Thanks,
Mike

Jim,
Hi. I wanted to let you know that my Dad is being taken to the emergency room at Mercy hospital. His health condition has deteriorated rapidly. He is extremely weak. I wanted to make you and Dr Rigsby aware. I don’t have Dr Rigsby’s email, and so ask that you inform him and any others as you see fit. He is supposed to be seen by an internist this afternoon. To date, the doctors have been unable to diagnose what’s wrong. Would you please pray. I realize my dad is advanced in years, and the day for him to return to his permanent home may be soon. I don’t know - - but the pace of his deterioration is very fast. I will accept God’s will.
If you want to call to speak with someone, here are some phone numbers:
405-613-4936 (this is Nancy my wife’s cell phone - - she is taking my folks to the hospital)
Thanks,
Mike
