Hello Everyone,
The last half of 2012, Pastor Emilio Núñez took a sabbatical to work on his doctoral dissertation. Come September, he asked if I would help the Spanish congregation with their youth meeting some Friday evenings. It had been two years since I last had an opportunity to meet with and teach youth. We’re moving at a snail’s pace through the book of James…one verse each week. It has been good to interact together discussing the Scriptures. They ask some great questions. Sometimes that is all the answer I can give.

Is God good? Here are a couple of thoughts from James 1:17. I used to ask a nonsensical question that had an absurd answer. The answer is "apple," which did not logically connect with my silly question. The dumbfounded usually wanted an explanation and I willingly obliged. However the reasons were as strange as the question: "Because a vest has no sleeves" and "one leg is both the same." James says, "The Giver gives," but his explanation seems to be a lot like mine.
