Stella Rogers with the Lord

Stella Rogers’ earthly life ended Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Coincidentally, her eternal life with her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ began the same moment. A funeral and memorial service is planned for 1:00 PM this Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Allen’s Mortuary. Visitation will precede the funeral, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. 

At almost 100 years old (October 26, 2013), Stella outlived her siblings, husband, and each of her daughters. Last year, her oldest grandson died and last month one of her last nephews died. Stella was present at that funeral but was not the oldest person there.

These last years, Stella has lived with a couple in their home and was still fairly independent. After a heart attack a month ago, she and the couple agreed it was time to move to a convalescent home. While her granddaughters were searching, Stella was hospitalized then transferred to a temporary place. Less than a week later, the staff doctor believed she needed more specialized care than could be given there and Stella was again hospitalized on Wednesday.

Would you ask the Lord for His presence and blessing and comfort and peace in Jesus Christ for the souls of Stella's grandchildren and families?
