Best Track data for 2019

The data for 2019 starts out as PROVISIONAL (meaning it is from operational sources and will likely be changed later). Well, later begins now!

The v04r00 semi-weekly updates (as of 5/25/2020) now include Best Track (BT) Data from:

- 2019 HURDAT North Atlantic (N Atl).

The remaining basins and sources are not yet available.

(N.B. I generally wait for all (or most) of the agencies in a basin before including the BT data because IBTrACS ignores provisional data when best track data are available. So even though some agencies have complete BT data we wait for others).

IBTrACS now includes HURDAT East Pacific data file hurdat2-nepac-1949-2019-042320.txt

As of Monday (3/15/2021), the remaining BT data for 2019 has been worked into IBTrACS. We had a delay with one of the sources that kept us from including it until January and some internal things as well. So here we are! It's available.

Please remember: Data marked as PROVISIONAL has not been best tracked.
