Thursday's class

We will solve problems of ANOVA, Regression, Time series & Sign Test (50 marks)

Saturday's class

Solve all left over portions.

Students should note the following points regarding the Quantitative Methods End Term

1.       Structure of the End Term: There will be two parts - Part A will be of 30 marks and Part B will be of 70 marks.

2.       Part B comprises of only problems and no theory.

3.       Break Up of Marks

                          I.      Chapters 1 – 6: ~ 15 marks [Probability and Prob. Dist.]

                        II.      Chapters 7 – 12: ~ 35 marks [Hypothesis Testing]

                      III.      Chapters 13 – 19: ~ 50 marks [ANOVA (15), Regression (25), Time Series (5), Sign Test (5)]

4.       The  3 attachments will be made available:

                          I.      The Word document “Formulas” has a list of formulas.  The student is expected to remember the rest.

                        II.      The JPEG file “t Dist. & Exp Dist.” has extracts from the t distribution table & some values of e^-m.

                      III.      The JPEG file “Chi Sq and F” has extracts of the Chi-sq table and the F Table (@ 5%).
