ISM - Mid-term examination (NCP)

Dear All,

Please note that Mid-term examination will be held during ISM session on following days.

Sec-A on 7th August

Sec-G on 7th August

Sec-H on 9th August

This examination carries 15% weight for ISM course. The syllabus is sessions 1 to 15 (including MS Excel) as per course outline. The pattern is objective: may have combinations of multiple choice (MCQ), true/false and fill in blank. MCQ and T/F carries negative marks for wrong answer. Question paper set for neighbors is different to avoid copying.

Laptop, iPad, mobile, or any electronic gadget; books and notes are not allowed. Anyone indulging in unfair practice (copying or aid) will be asked to leave and be awarded zero mark without discussion. There will be no re-examination for absentees.

Mid term answer sheets are evaluated. You may visit my room E205 today and tomorrow to check and collect your answer sheets. I will upload marks on 21st Aug after which there will be no change whatsoever. I will hand over balance answer sheets in classes and email sample answer sets.

Come in groups of 3. Do not crowd my room or corridor, or create noise thereabout.

Please find 10 Mid-term answer sets in zip format. You may refer to text and reference books for further clarifications.

Average marks for any section and set combination is 13. This takes care of difficulty level faced by students attempting concerned set. Bonus marks is awarded for different sets as below. I will upload marks today and you may see them after academic approval.

Sec-A, Set-C: +1.5 marks

Sec-G, Set-A: +0.5 mark

Sec-G, Set-B: +0.5 mark

Sec-G, Set-C: +3.5 marks

Sec-H, Set-A: +1.0 mark

Sec-H, Set-C: +1.5 marks

Other Statistics for sections are as follows:

Sec-A: Max - 31.0, Min - 3.0

Sec-G: Max - 20.5, Min - 5.5

Sec-H: Max - 22.0, Min - 6.0

Please prepare well for next components and do well.
