nything for saurabh sir, jus joined 2day n still d workenviron is for us tounderstand,,,seems interesting,,,the environ is good,,cool infact and we a groupof 10ppl are offered DROG (Decentralised Retail Operations Group) profiles. it is a typical opstype of work. workhours is 9:15am to 7:30pm. cheers!!!

Thanks for the info Sandip! I,ve heard that while the official timings are till 7.30pm, the work does go on till 10 or11pm and that ppl hv to stay back until then...is that true?pl enlighten..

Hope you people are doing good.

@ Ankita, in some cases its true tht people stay longer time in office. Me and Nikhil Jha are in currency management department and we use to work around 12-13 hrs a day from morning 8.15 to 9 in the night.work is pretty interesting and playing wid lot of money daily. I use to manage supply movement of cash of bank , liaison with RBI and keep track on cash processing activities. Apart from this auditing is also a part of my job.

Hi, 

we are a group of 9 ppl at kolkata head office. 2 r from our instutute, shreya n me. rest from IBS gurgaon,mumbai n kolkata.  we have not been allotted any final departments as they would do only after giving us our id cards, workstation and employee id in finacle. right now we are shuffling between all d departments and gaining knowledge. am in the inward clearing department for 2 days and will be visiting RBI for d work and also operating d NCR m/c. work is good,,,its sort of back office work but lot to gain from d ops point of view. 

ny more info will soon be updated.

Sorry for not being in touch with the group. the news abt salary hike is true. but ppl in delhi n mumbai hv got better hikes than ppl in chennai/kol/pune as mum n del r tier 1 cities n rest r tier 2.

 

comin 2 profile u see there r various dept in retail operations grp (DROG). So many wud b in payment & settlement team, tax deduction @ source or evn into admin or account opening team(AOT). n yes da working hrs wud b long (10-12hrs) no respite fr gals as well.

 

No need to worry abt da dept whchevr is allocated as it wud b a complete learnin fr us only when we r shuffled between various depts. moreovr ppl @ chennai ovr here hv been  assured dat they wud b shuffled so dat they hv a detailed info abt how da bank operates.
