Hi Karan and all my frenz,

It very true that we r very busy thanks to the tight work hours and the kind of the work load here at RPC's.I would lke to share my personal experience.The work is not at all good.Its very boring(at least in my team and for me..)
You dont need to be an MBA to do this work.You would be doin the work which the ppl who are jus graduate are doing.Ppl here in pune have joined as junior officer n hav moved upto AM1 here in my team.No doubts they hav a grt exeprience of wat they do.But problem comes in wen u as an AM2 join them..n u dont kno anything.The TL of my team to whom i report is jus an AM1(but with exp) so there comes the problem of digesting us ppl who would be takin more money than wat they take home n would be reporting to them with no knowledge of the opeartions...I dont see any scope of growth atleast in pune RPC.
I don kno wat the HR planning behind  placin us here is?may be they are givin us money to keep us mouth shut for at least 3 years.The interaction which i had with the ppl here suggets that we wont be moving anywhere at least for 3-5 years.I personally dont like anythin here.I feel kinda struck here.U din MBA thats also no added advantage here over ppl.There is nothin u can do.Every thing is written in the process doc.U dont even need any brain to do the work.Jus need ur phyisical presence.

PS:IF any of my frends who hav strtd workin like to differ pls post here.I may be wrong abt ICICI but this is wat i feel.

I kno 3 persons(MBA) here who have experience of 4-5 years and hav jus managed to get wat we are gettin now....so u can all imagine the growth n these ppl i m refering to are from KJ Somaiyaa n Bharti Vidya Peeth.One of them is desperately lookin for job but is not gettin anythin because of this profile.Not even in HDFC n AXIS Bank..

One more thing...wen after all we hav to join and get dissatisfied..i suggest u ppl to enjoy at the max now at home....coz there is no enjoyin after joinin ICICI bank.....they are leaders in slogging their employees...
As far as my knowlede goes since all the RPC are now filled with ICFAIans so u guys hav chance of getting some other profiles..aur haan i pune we hav not recievd any money so far..not even the hotel n food reimbursements ....we are hopin to get some 33k by the end of this month...thats r monthly salary

Infrastructure is  a real prob here in Pune...i hv got a chair...with one arm....can u imagine largest private indian bank with this...they say...r cost centre has a budget target of 4 crore this year as compared to 4.5 crore...we hav a real infra crunch here....mere ko baba adam ke jaamane ka PC mila he.....flat screen maango to bolte he ki cost cutting....

frenz who r goin 2 join must know dat puneet is cent per cent true......u dont need brains,,u only need fast processin speeds,,,,dats it n u gonna deal with ego issues, bad infra n huge expectations out of no support,,,,yeah but u all need to clock 10 hrs at d least,,,,atleast dat has happened to me @kolkata RPC....so frenz better start lookin for jobs which requires you to apply ur MBA brains to some extent.    dont know abt othrz but d work is more frustrating than boring

hey guys...

its really sad to know that you are not liking the work. i guess i would be the only one who is liking it here at rpc delhi. i really like my my team here, yes there are ppl who are under you and know much more about the process there but thats how it is for a new joinee. anywhere you go in a new job, you will obviously know much lesser than even a guard there but that doesnt mean u werent required there. we have to learn the job, it takes time in that and then we will be in a better position to take decisions and make improvements. about the work, i dont think it is boring, its monotonous, but which work is not monotonous. even a brand strategist gets bored after a point of time devising the strategies for an mnc. i would rather say that the work we are doing holds a lot of responsibility. we are directly handling the accounts of icici's customers, bank's image and reputation is in our hands. and its our responsibilty that the lower staff also thinksthe same. and i dnt know how much do you konw, but my dad and mom are bankers and they say u learn the best banking at rpc's. about the working hrs, i would want to know which new joinee reaches office at 9:30 and leave at 5:30. i have frends in GVK BIO who work for 12 hrs due to work load, i have friends at e value serve who works for 12 hrs and i can give many more examples where 9 to 10 hr is a normal duration. guys i dnt want to get offensive, i understd this is not we expected but cmon...! this is the first job for most of us, just the beginning of our careers, we shud be eager to learn and then eventually make changes there.. in short, make the best outa it.

Hi, Frienz,

Hope every one is in good spirits. If i talk about my experience wid Brand ICICI then its a wave of high and low spirits. I joined RPC and then send to currency chest of the bank. One of the most responsible and difficult profiles to manage. Work timings and culture was very poor thr. For people who are Frustated i would like to say that i worked Wid ICMC department for 14 hours daily with lot of physical work and then currency management.There were ego issues and some other matters due to which i took a transfer to supply chain management department of bank known as CMR in Delhi.I am a bit lucky in terms of work here and infra here.I am liking my work and handling a team of 5-6 people.Overall experience here is  good.

@punit and all my other frienz, as we know  Khyal Aapka- new concept of privillage banking is the motto of bank and in coming future we all are going to be the part of this. No organization would pay huge amounts and take less work and icici is known for its working culture. I have heard from some sources that HR is planning to put best guys in privillage banking and for that a single person should know all banking aspects. so putting us in to RPC's can be a strategy for improved operations as well as on job training.

@ Sandeep, man don be frustated, you already worked with a good MNC and know the things,all most similar culture is present every where.ICICI is a group of more than 36000 emplyees and HR can't please everyone.Its we who are going to make difference.Atleast we are at gud  position in terms of work than our seniors.

@all who got joining , have paticence and enjoy the learning part, Bnak will take care of everything in due time.For people who are waiting joinings , all the best.

In last i would suggest peopel to refrain from any type of openion bad or gud at public forums as its against the Bank's code of conduct for employees.

just to add on , for guys who have already joined..right now we arent doing what we are actually supposed to ...

Corporate level restructuring is quite common in this bank ; soon we will fight to become UMs ( m talking bout the next 10-15 days) . As u guys might know already, 5 ppl in mumbai have already got their first functional promotion.

 

Besides, for those who havent joined yet, believe it, u will feel better than wat u wld while just sitting back at home or waiting for another company in the college.

 

Life is still good :P

Congrts ...they hav strated the process again.My personal opinion says...ki RPC mein hi kaam karna he to..choti jagah pe jyada accha he...u ll get to become Unit manger very fast...u ll be controllin and managing the ppl there May be u start as Unit manager only there...as it is expected out of an AM-2.

There is no requirement of degree at the time of joining.We were also worried abt the provisional degree when we joined but nobody after that asked for the same.If they ask u jus tell them it is yet to be released from the college.
