We are pleased to inform you that Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur is going to celebrate its 9th Annual International Business and Entrepreneurship Festival – Megabucks from 28th Feb to 2nd March 2008. The festival will be held on the sprawling IIT Kanpur campus spread over 1100 acres.
Key Highlights of the Festival this year are:
1.Rhetorix- the life stories:
The following personalities have agreed to grace the festival:
a) Dr. Myron Scholes- The man behind the legendary Black Scholes equation and Nobel Laureate in Economics 1997
b) Dr. Edmund Phelps - Professor of Political Economy, University of Columbia and Nobel Laureate in Economics in 2006
c) Mr. Sanjeev Sinha - Director of the New Investment group at UBS (Swiss Bank)
2. Companies Build Nations - CEO's enclave
a) Mr. VK Jaitley - President of Software Technology Group, India
b) Dr. Tarun Khanna - Jorge Paulo Lemann Professor at Harvard Business School
c) Mr. Sanjeev Bikchandani - CEO Naukri.com
4. Dropper's enclave - Mavericks of the business world share their life stories
a) Mr. Ranjit Gadgil - Lead India finalist and dropout from Cornell University
b) Dr. Kamal K Tiwari - IITian and practising doctor(M.D)

5. India Inspired - The left vs right debate with participants pairing up with prominent personalities
a) Dr. Arun Shorie(representing the Right) : ex-Minister of Disinvestment, Communication and Information Technology, Govt of India
b) Debate will be professionally hosted by the internationally renowned Carlyle McFarland
6. Workshops by Dr. Rafik Loutfy, Director, Xerox Centre for Engineering Entrepreneurship and Innovation, McMaster University, Canada

7. Epilogue – the Closing night will witness a scintillating performance by Asia Electrik comprising Sivamani on percussion, Niladri Kumar on sitar and Louis Banks, the face of Indian Jazz on synth.
8."Theme of Megabucks" is "Megaworld", a four day long real life financial game. Its a Microeconomy complete with its very own currency. There are assets you can buy, stocks you can trade and much more.
9.Discotheque @ 8:00 P.M. to 11 P.M. for 2 consecutive days.
10. Prize money worth 5 Lakhs and more than 23 events lined up.
