Hi all,

Which CMS would you recommend that is displayed correctly on an Amiga with iBrowser 2.5.x / 3.0.x?
Primarily the website should be displayed cleanly on the Amiga, as it is Amiga content on the website.

Greetings

I can't speak from experience, but believe that's going to be a tall order. IBrowse's mix of supported HTML and JavaScript is quite eclectic by modern standards. You may recall that most versions of Internet Explorer were standards-challenged, but at one time they still captured over 90% of the market, so web sites *had* to make them work. No free lunch for us.

I did a few web searches and found that CushyCMS and SiteCake are designed to modify static web pages without bastardizing the code, but the UI's themselves seem beyond IBrowse's current capabilities. On the opposite end, Grav has an optional "Hypertext" UI theme that claims to work with any browser released after 1995 (!)...but Grav itself is anything but light. If you search around with these CMS's in mind, maybe you'll find something else?

My suggestion is to post your question on one of the Amiga-compatible web sites like https://amigans.net and see what they use. I'm guessing they do their coding by hand, but there could be an acceptable (maybe older?) offering out there somewhere.

Hope that helps,
Todd

Hi,
I'm maintainer of WeKan Open Source kanban https://wekan.github.io ,
current version is made with Meteor 2, Node.js, MongoDB.

There is a prototype of future version of WeKan made with FreePascal at
https://github.com/wekan/wami , iBrowse compatible HTML4,
similar like at http://aminet.net

Current features are some static webpages and upload of file.
All code is at wekan.pas file, that can be compiled with command
   fpc wekan.pas
at Amiga, Windows, Mac, Linux, Haiku etc, where is FreePascal compiler.
Later will be features for login, user management, kanban, CMS etc.

Best Regards
