Can't get data on paper trading account

I have a paper trading account and every time I try to get historical data or market data it tells me that I don't have permissions for this data.  

Next I try the exact same code with my real account and I can get the historical data or market data.  

What do I need to do to get my paper trading account to have the same permissions as my real account?  

Yes I understand this is more of an IB question than an IbPy question, but I thought you guys may have encountered this before.  Thanks for your time.

Have you done test scripts to just verify you can connect?

Yes I can connect and everything works fine on my real account.  

I have reset my paper trading account, but this will not take effect until tomorrow.

Let me clarify, on the paper trading account I can connect I just can't do anything useful without market data or historical data.

You should be able to summit a order.  That was all I was able todo with the paper trading account.  Everything else I had to set to read only and have IBpy and login to a live account.  Tho I have yet been able to get IBpy to take a live order and transmit it.  I do have live market data working in IBpy.

Ok I found the answer.  In my regular account, under Manage Account -> Settings -> Paper Trading there is a check box I have to check that reads: 

"Share real-time market data subscriptions with paper trading account. Note that due to regulatory laws only one of these accounts can have an active session at any given time."
