US Robotics has a FAQ at their web site: http://x2.usr.com/faq.html
The FAQ lists IGN as one of the ISPs that "supports" x2, but I still
have not seen _any_ posative comment from IBM on the subject.
Has anyone else?

Your concerns as stated are the same as many subscribers, myself
included. One difference: when signing up, I specifically asked the IBM
representative if & when IBM would have x2 - she specifically told me
yes they would and soon. So far, all I've witnessed seems to be
indifference towards x2 from IBM. Rene did answer me a short while ago
on the subject, she had no time frame and didn't sound as if she was too
sure they would be implementing it. If I'd have known this when
switching, I may have gone with another ISP who is implementing it (a
small local ISP here) and still may if IBM doesn't implement x2
reasonably soon (like within 3-6 mos.).

As I've said before, compared overall to many others I feel IBM is a
pretty decent ISP, but I also feel they are a good example of 'bigger is
not always better'. Also, I've seen that you can't believe everything
they tell you, and learned their left hand always knows what their right
hand is doing.

Have any of you following this feed gotten the idea that nobody is
listening
to us? I have seen plenty of the users talking on the subject, but
nobody
from IBM seems to want to comment on here on this subject. Are they
avoiding
the subject? I know one thing, if they do not give us X2 within the
next
month I will be changing to another ISP. We are not paying by the year
like
with those discount ISPs and hence the fact that we EXPECT more then
those
'discount ISPs'.!

Yes several times. They are in a beta in I think in Chicago scheduled to
end the middle of the month. Depending on the final results of that they
expect to announce a schedule for roll out. The only disagreement I have
seen is how long to get to all users. One unofficial comment from Advantis
though they could quickly roll it out as in weeks to the gateways, others
thought a few months. But the haven't wanted to set an exact schedule yet
and then have everyone complain if they can't meet it.
