If anyone's interested in attending the Synopsys User Group (SNUG) conference on 9/12 in Newton, contact Kevin Brelsford and he can get you a spot.  It's free and a good opportunity to network and keep up to date with Synopsys stuff, though apparently you can only register with valid .com industry email addresses (i.e. not gmail.com).

I heard you’ve landed a new job already.  Congrats!

 

Since you’re probably not on our SNUG mailing list – I wanted to make sure you got the info – SNUG is 9/12 at the same place.  If you send me your new email address, I can get you an invite.

 

Also, you had mentioned that there were a bunch of other RIFed IBMers in the area.  SNUG is a great place for networking, and learning about ‘industry stuff’ (as opposed to big-blue walled garden way of doing things) – but without valid “.com” customer addresses (gmail.com doesn’t count), I (or another Synopsoid) would need to vouch for them.   If you think they wouldn’t mind, if you have their emails, please send them to me and I’ll make sure they get an invite – otherwise, feel free to mention it to them first, and send me their emails or have them email me.  If they try to register on their own, they might get rejected.
