David,
You are correct, the Copyright does not expire until 2077, but as it was printed in 1968 and as far as I can tell has never been re-printed, and is very unlikely to be re-printed, how are Alfred’s heirs going to make any money from the book?
Even so if they wish THEY (or the publisher Addison-Wesley, now inform IT https://www.informit.com/imprint/index.aspx?st=61085) but not YOU (unless you are an heir) may request that the information be removed from the Archive (its right at the bottom)
https://archive.org/about/terms.php
so its up to them to find it and ask for its removal. As I said above I can’t see who will benefit. I can’t see Inform IT re-publishing so neither they or the family will make. There are no second hand copies available?
Of course if Stewart had sent them the Physical book it would appear in the library and we would be free to borrow a “virtual” copy. There are a few like that in there.

I have no idea how the law treats such things. That’s between the Internet Archive , its lawyers, and the various library associations.

I'm sure it's useful but it isn't out of copyright.
