Job Description:
Job Title: System Operations Engineer
Work Location: San Diego, CA
Duration: 12 months
Extension Possible: Yes
Experience: 7 to 20 years
Mode of Interview: Telephonic and Skype mandatory

Required Skills:
Ø Must have Skill IT Service Excellence
Ø LINUX, DNS, DATADOMAIN
Ø Working knowledge of databases and SQL (experience with database replication is a plus)
Ø Worked in a cloud based environment long enough to understand how to appropriately manage PaaS /IaaS/ SaaS.
Ø Experience using, managing, or performing automation activities around the EMC Federation Hybrid Cloud solution .
Ø Scripting ability (BASH, python, PHP) must Implemented and supported user facing, large scale, secure tech stacks on AWS.
Ø familiar with OpsWorks, S3, EC2, Route53, VPC, Salt/Chef/Puppet config management.
Ø Providing assistance to DEV and QA groups.
Ø Preferred LINUX, DNS, Datadomain, Data protection administration experience required Knowledge of Citrix platforms preferred Linux administration (RHEL/OEL) must.
Ø Build and maintain a highly fault tolerant infrastructure on private/public cloud.

Responsibilities:
· Extend, design and develop the automated build and deployment process. Build cutting edge automation tools to improve capacity and velocity for software engineers and production operations.
· Collaborate as part of an agile team, learning new skill sets as needed. Collaborate with our development team to implement and evolve solutions for a wide array of challenging problems WINDOWS/Active Directory/Share point administration.
· Participating in meetings, building out environments, troubleshooting deployment/configuration related problems Ongoing maintenance of monitoring platforms Creating and maintaining modules for a Config Management platform across multiple environments .
· This candidates prime role is going to be to automate enterprise shared services through coding.
· Ideally 70% of this persons work will be doing development and could vary The ideal candidate should love coding and should be ready to think automation Knowledge of network architecture and troubleshooting.
· Experience with continuous integration in a highly available production environment is desirable Ability to interface with internal customers in order to consult on requirements and discuss solutions Can leverage a team of individuals with varying skill sets in order to devise a holistic solution Willing to throw your ego out the window in order to collaborate with a team and arrive at the best possible solution for the organization.
· Passionate about automating and improving release and deployment processes A strategic and innovative mindset, can engineer technical solutions as well as perform process engineering Understanding of virtualization concepts Strong Linux administration experience Ability to take vague requirements and apply vision and strategic direction in order to arrive at a final product .
· High level of attention to detail.​
