Are WMM-CUR MOdules developed to WPS6.0, compatible to VMM (i.e. migration to WPS6.1)? What would be the steps to migration?

Hi,
In one of our client project is using WMM customer user registry for Portal Security. Recently we had migrated from Portal 5.1.0.2 to 6.0.1.3, may be after couple of months again we are planning to go for Portal 6.1.x version. Initially IBM had provided sample WMM custom registry code, then later we had customized as per the project requirements. Now we don't have any information how we have to use VMM for custom registry. Can you please me help on this issue?

We are planning portal 5.1 to 6.1 migration. What things should be consider during this migration for change from wmm (5.1) to vmm (6.1) ? Any custom code needs to be changed ?

Hi

If you have not written code to enhance WMM (which is only available via an AECI) then the migration function will configure VMM the same way WMM was configured. Meaning there are no actions from your side, only to use the migration function of Portal

I would be interested in a short list of the top ten problems IBM has
encountered this far in support of the transition from wmm to vmm,
both from the planning perspective and the identified gotchas that
require intervention from the Portal Support Team ( a great team ).
What types of problems are we likely to encounter? How is the
transition different among the supported versions of ldap?

We have created a WMM decorator to inject particular behaviors. We may be able to use the new impersonation API instead. But if not, can we do a VMM decorator in the same fashion?

The WMM MR (I think you mean the adapter) are not compatible to the one in 6.1. The API has changed in total which makes it necessary to reimplement the connection layer to VMM and work with changed interfaces
