ADMA0014E: Validation error occurred in task Selecting virtual hosts for...

Hello,

I am trying to set up a resource reference against a deployed application on WAS, version details below.
When I try to setup the resource reference for a datasource, I get the following error.

ADMA0014E: Validation failed. ADMA0010E: A Validation error occurred in task Selecting virtual hosts for Web modules. A virtual host is not specified for Web module com.ibm.accelerators.banking.portlets with URI com.ibm.accelerators.banking.portlets.war,WEB-INF/web.xml

The application is set with the default virtual host, so I m guessing this should work.
Has anyone got any suggestions to what might be causing this?
