Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills
• Education / Degree combined with experience:
Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred) combined with 4+ years of related experience in Database Architecture.

Experience / Education Area :
· Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Computer science or related field and/or demonstrated capability through previous experience and education to perform job responsibilities
· Data architect certification preferred but not required
· Three (3) years experience developing business intelligence applications, including experience as a data mining expert, data architect, data modeler and data security expert
· Five(5) years overall application development experience
· 2 - 3 years experience of data warehousing and data warehouse administration
· 2 - 3 years experience of database tuning at configuration and application level
· Experience to work in variety of Databases: Oracle/DB2
· Exp in SOA
· E-commerce/ATG knowledge preferable.

Roles and responsibility
· Participates in defining data requirements and designs of databases
· Participates in design reviews and assists with platform selection and allocation of functionality to specific system components
· Participates in developing reporting and data analysis architecture
· Works closely with project teams, other groups to coordinate plans and activities
· Collaborate with developers and key stakeholders in the database area to design , maintain standards, and further product technologies
· Provide training and support to internal customers. Measure the impact of changes to clients.
· Understand and measure the trade-offs between technology shifts and business needs.
· Creates data migration strategy, data mapping, ETL designing when applicable.

Desirable Technical / Functional Skills
· Good Communication skills, interpersonal skills and analytical skills.
· Work closely with Development team and DBAs
