on my Laptop with W2K, WCSBE5402 and DB2 my massimport lasts 5 minutes
(approximately 5 MB data). When I switch to an Oracle environment (also W2K,
WCSBE5402) the same file lasts about 1 hour.
The only change I make to the massloader is to specify the
OracleConnectionCustomizer. Also I run the massloader via sqlimport
parameter.
Oracle Database is configured well - if I use my own SQL statements it is
quite fast.
Any comments or experiences??

Juergen
I agree with you as I did experience the same issue how ever, I didn't try
it with DB2. To load about 75000 records in Oracle, it took about 4 hours
where as Oracle SQLLoader took only mins for similar load.
If there is any way to tune MassLoader with Oracle, that would be helpful.
Thanks
Anand

yesterday the IBM US lab gave me a call. The problem is well know and it is
NOW fixed with the WCS fixpack4!
For explanation: if you use an oracle db, the masslader has a sleep for
every 20 inserts, because it waits for the return of the oracle db. Therfore
CPU usage is very low and the massloader takes very long to load data. As
mentioned before should be fixed with fixpack4! (IBM US lab promised me .-))
