CWSIT0021E: The required messaging engine XXX in bus XXX was not found in this proc

I have a clustered enviornment setup with 2 nodes. There is a bus setup and a messaging engineer for the cluster. Node A is used to create the JDBC Provider and hence to be started first, and it can be started successfully. However, Node B fails to be started with the following error message:

javax.resource.ResourceException: CWSJR1028E: An internal error has occurred. The exception com.ibm.websphere.sib.exception.SIResourceException: CWSIT0010E: A client request for messaging engine echanWSOM710.000-fun in bus fun failed with reason: CWSIT0021E: The required messaging engine XXX in bus XXX was not found in this process. was received in method createManagedConnection.

Please see the attached SystemOut.log for the details of the errors for my Node B startup.

I have searched around if there is hints for the CWSIT0021E, but I cannot find any.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi, Please list your WebSphere version and environment when posting.

There are a few fixes that are included in 6.0.2.19 or 6.1.0.3 that might help you with this problem. Otherwise, I would suggest opening a PMR with IBM.

I am using the base version of 6.1 on Linux. As you have suggested, I am going to apply the latest Fix Pack (v 7).

Do you have any other suggestions than applying the fix pack?
