I get that you should pay when using it professionally, but my friends and I just connect to each other to help with stuff or fix things (tech support-type thing). Since I'm the tech-savvy person in my social groups my friends ask me for help. Most of the time it's just to mess around.
I got a bunch of warnings about 70+ usages within 4 weeks and now a warning saying no action was taken and one needed to be. That "action" being to tell me that I am most definitely using it professionally when it's not professionally at all. Now you're telling me that my device will be locked soon because of such?

It's possible to use something abundantly and not be professionally, you know. I didn't even get a chance to explain. So there's no way to actually use this casually anymore? I'm going to need to find a new free solution? I ain't paying $240USD (more because I'm Canadian) just to use one computer.
EDIT:
I read their website on who - or what - qualifies for personal use, and I fall under all categories and none of the professional use ones. I don't use AnyDesk to provide technical support as a business or anything for that matter, except to help my friends when they're stuck on something. Most namely being Sims 4 modding or helping my friend with their writing or teaching them new methods for their hobbies. I also don't have a job so I can't work remotely. And that counts the third bit too. Don't have a job, so not part of a business.
Update: The only responses I've received from u/AnyDeskSupport have been generic posts in the thread. I'm still flagged as a professional user, now past day zero in the countdown, so I've got a cool 25 second nag screen at startup.
I am using anydesk to remotely manage my PCs on my personal home network. I recently downloaded the latest version (7) of anydesk. Now I have this huge red bar whenever I connect to a PC which says "Free license (non-professional use). Please get a trial license or buy online". It doesn't even go away if I maximize the screen. Is this nagware a new thing with version 7? I never saw this in version 6 and earlier versions. Or is something messed up and it thinks I am not a personal user?
AnyDesk states that its intention is to restrict abusers, not its private user community. When AnyDesk is used professionally, a paid license is required. This way, it can continue offering a free version for private use and help their support families and friends without having to pay. So if you believe you have been wrongly categorized as a commercial user, you can request to be whitelisted. Once AnyDesk gets the request, it will look into your case individually.
When you get the AnyDesk "Commercial use detected" message, you have three options. First, if you have been wrongly categorized as a commercial user, you can request to be whitelisted. Second, you can get an AnyDesk professional license. Finally, you can turn to a free AnyDesk alternative, for example, AnyViewer.
Is the concept described even on-topic for the site?
AnyDesk does have APIs, so it is possible that software development questions regarding this product could be asked, but the company has been around since 2014, and no on-topic questions have yet been asked under this tag.
The vast majority of the questions are General Computing questions which should be on SuperUser if anywhere. One, closed, programming question remains (and I removed the tag from another question) but they were both incorrectly (IMO) tagging anydesk as an example of the sort of program they didn't want to be able to access their app. They had no specific connection to AnyDesk.
in the tag Wiki, doesn't really help. If API-related questions arise, perhaps that would be a good time to create the tag again, but until then I don't think it is necessary. Even SuperUser doesn't have an anydesk tag, at present.
Considering all of the above, I suggest that the anydesk tag be burninated, and all associated questions be deleted/migrated as they are off-topic, with the possible exception of this question, which could just have the tag removed. Most of the questions have answers, some accepted, so would not Roomba.

I just tried to open AnyDesk and connect to a scammer. It says "We have reached out in the past about your: potential professional usage and have not received any response back. Your device will be locked from AnyDesk on November 20th, 2022, unless an action is taken.
TeamViewer is a popular professional choice for remote management for external service providers and for getting team members in different locations together for online meetings. Market leader, TeamViewer, also has its limitations: especially in terms of security and image quality many users are less than 100% satisfied and are therefore on the lookout for alternatives to TeamViewer. We tested similar programs and will now introduce you to the 11 best TeamViewer alternatives.
The integrated data transfer function enables data transfer between the participant and whoever is presenting the meeting. In addition, Mikogo has all the standard features and functions of an online meeting software: a chat feature, the ability to record sessions, and an interactive whiteboard. For single users (maximum one participant per session), a demo version is available free of charge. After a 14 day trial, you will then have to pay for the professional version if you want to continue using the software.
In practice, this means that even complex programs such as graphics and image processing tools can be operated remotely without having to put up with reduced quality images. Despite the sophisticated technical background the program is actually quite user friendly. The free version is only available to private users; professional users and companies have to pay.
