Anybody has ever seen this

[SQL0303] Host variable *N not compatible. when accessing IBM's AS400 via
JDBC ?

howdy!
Not sure this is the solution, but try to run this command on the AS400:
wrkrdbdire and add the name of your AS400 with the *local Option!

I took this from the comp.sys.ibm.as400.misc sometime ago for a similiar
problem on names of datasources....
P.S.- anyway are you ableto access AS400 databases with the jdbc-odbc bridge
driver, i started this way, add to do the command, and never got the error
again....

I guess the same would aply to jdbc drivers...

can you please provide the sql-statement you try to run as well as the table
definition? This sounds like a problem with incompatible types (e.g. you are
trying to store String in a packed decimal field).
