Require help in configuring Sterling Connect Direct

Hi,

In one of the requirement of my project, I need to implement a
functionality where a large data file generated by the application
needs to be transferred to another machine. This would be a
traditional FTP like scenario, but we also need to ensure security,
integrity and successful transfer of the file.

The application is running in a system (say A) in a Web Sphere
environment and it will generate the data file in one designated
folder in the file system. The same file needs to be transferred to an
another machine (Say B). I am thinking of to use Sterling Connect
Direct for the same. Now my question is, if I install Connect Direct
server in another system (Say C), will it be possible to invoke a
process through a client which is installed in A and make the file
move from A to B.

Please refer to the attachment. If this is possible could anyone
please describe how. If not, please brief me about the best possible
and convenient way to do it.
