I'm getting the following abend when attempting to run debug tool. I've
tried #pragma, TSO and ctest invokations and they all fail with the same
abend. Any help will be much appreciated.

there is a special newsgroup ibm.software.code370-debug-tool for such
problems.
It's being a while ago but please check if the jobs EQAWLECS and EQAWLU62
run
succesful on your system. Also please let us know the latest PTF-level of
Code/370 or DebugTools.
I recommend ptf UQ57686 and UQ57687.
Also posting a CEEDUMP will help

I ran EQAWLECS and hey presto ! It's now working beautifully... Personally,
I think it sucks that this post installation job needs to be run at all. The
user abend is also confusing in that the COBOL references throw you off
track. Cheers mate.

I agree 100%. It's a sucks to rerun EQAWLECS but DebugTool depends on the LE
level and
DebugTool is a separate software.
The best is to have DebugTool delivered with the OS/390 (LE release) but
this is out of my scope.
You should raise a requirement for this and I believe my client will do so
too among other cust.
Unfortunally this is a way it goes "The cust should open a requirement".
Be aware there is also a newsgroup for DebugTool on this news-server

I don't believe a PMR will be accepted for this "requirement" as this is not
a defect
it "working as designed". I can open a requirement if you like.
