ITDS 6 questions - alerting when emergency thread becomes active

Hi

customer wants to know if it possible to enable some kind of alerting,
when the emergency thread kicks in.
I know we can monitor the server status and look for changes there, but
is there a possibility to enable some SNMP traps or something similar?

Appendix F of the administration guide discusses SNMP.

It says IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator is required, so I'd hazard a guess
that IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator is doing cn=monitor searches.

But I'm not SNMP literate.
