ODBC support is built into DB2 for Linux (and the DB2 linux client) as
part of the DB2 Call Level Interface. DB2 does not come with an ODBC
driver manager, but this is not needed. Merant does supply a driver
manager. The ODBC api is built into DB's application library. To get
it, link your app with libdb2.

How did I know that I had installed DB2 ODBC driver?
I used the DB2 line commandor to list system odbc data sources. and then I
get the message:

SQL1297N This command is currently not supported on this platform.

it look like that my DB2 for linux has no ODBC capability.
or something wrong?

The LIST command only works on Windows. The ODBC driver always gets installed
with DB2 on Linux.
