Hi
I am new to DB2. I have installed DB2 UDB v8.2 Enterprise version on a Windows XP machine. But When i try to start db2 database, I got an error message:

C:\>db2ilist
DB2

C:\>set db2node=0

C:\>set db2instance=DB2

db2 => db2start
"SQL1032N No start database manager command was issued. SQLSTATE=57019"

I tried many time but the result is same.
Basically "DB2-DB2-0" service got failed with an error message.

"windows could not start the DB2-DB2-0 on local Computer. for more information, review the system event log. If this is a non-Microsoft service,contact the service vendor, and refer to serice-specific error code-8000."

can anyone please help me to resolve this problem.

Thanks and Regards
sanjay

What's in the event viewer? Can you do "net start db2-0" from the command
line and what is the error?
