My trusty T40 won't boot up. The hard drive is dangerously full, and
it's been running slower lately, but I haven't had any other problems.

I need to get it fixed ASAP--can anyone recommend a Thinkpad repair
specialist in San Francisco? Thanks!

Don't you know any computer "gurus"? Your problem sounds entirely
software related, to me, and I wouldn't pay money, myself, to have a repair
shop deal with what most compentent computer power users could probably do
for you. On the other hand, perhaps you need a new larger HD anyway, so
for you, a shop might work best, anyway. Go for it, assuming someone else
here points you to a good shop.

Factory authorized, decent service:
Ameritech Computer Services Inc
2688 3rd Street, San Francisco, CA 94107

Not used this one myself, but have heard good things:

Suggested by a friend:

Thanks, John.

I just talked to a rep at Ameritech (415-282-6500), so I'm going to
give them a try.

I left a message at Blue ME Blue (the futura.addr.com address), but no
one returned my call.

And there was no answer at all at the BayGeek number.

Thanks again!
