Jim,

Good suggestion. I have added a page for "Related Web sites" to the
club web site. Please take a look and see if there are any changes to
wording, explanations of the related sites, etc. that you think should
be made.

If anyone else has some suggestions, please let me know. I know at one
point we were talking about adding links for other IBM retiree clubs
in other areas. I don't want to make this list too long so that the
good stuff gets lost but there is certainly room to add more if
someone suggests something of general interest.

Harry,
Here's another IBM link important to retirees.
IBM SHAP & LPA Forms https://www.acclarisonline.com/acclaris/logindisplay.jsp?app=docmgmt&mode=S
Acclaris web site for IBM Special Health Assistance Program (SHAP),
Life Account Planning (LPA) and other forms and reimbursement account
monitoring.

Another good one. It has been added to the links page. I was looking
to see if there is an online version of the retirement benefits book
that explains what is eligible for LPA. I could not find one. It would
be a good link to add if you know of where one exists.

This is the only thing I could find. It's on Netbenefits "Details:
Other Company Sponsored Benefits"

"Life Planning Account (available if you retired prior to 1/1/04)
Your health and finances are two important aspects of your life. To
encourage you to plan for your changing needs, IBM offers the Life
Planning Account (LPA). The account provides taxable reimbursement of
up to a maximum of $250 per family each year.

For more information, refer to the About Your Benefits: Post-
Employment Summary Plan Description in the Reference Library section
of this site."

But the Reference Library document for more information doesn't exist.
I couldn't find anything in the Guide to 2009 Benefits either. The
instructions for the LPA form are on the back and the form (2nd page
online at Acclaris) with information on activities.
