Auto-foldering on a Subset

Hello,
I have created 2 item types, item type A, and item type B. I have item
type A as the folder item type and item type B as the main item type
which is built to auto-folder, linked to item type A.

I created a subset of item type B to lock down certain fields, making
them uneditable to certain users. Here is my problem, when I open the
folder item type, item type A, item type B is in the folder, but the
the subset that I created is not in the folder. One would think both
the subset and the item type B would be visible since the subset is
just a view of item type B.

Does anyone know how to get the subset to show up in the folder and not
item type B or better yet how to auto-folder on a subset? Any help
would be greatly appreciated.
