Group,

When we had stores operating under 4690 Supermarket App. We were able to
leave the cash drawers in the "Locked Open" position (key turned clockwise)
or simply in the open position when the terminal was "Closed". This
scenario would not cause the open cash drawer open tone to sound, or a
error message after the 60 second setting in personalization.

Since we have moved to ACE v4 OS and Surepos v4, using 4694-245 terminals,
whenever the cash drawer is open, terminal closed or signed on, we get the
open cash drawer tone after the 60 second time limit.

Whenever tills are empty of cash, we want to have them in the "locked open"
position to let people know "...there is no money in this drawer, you do
not have to destroy it to find out if there is...).

Is there a setting I have missed to allow this? Or is this a conscious
change in ACE?

Thanks!
