I have a store and they are changing their IP scheme. After the
change all the lanes come up fine, execpt the controller/terminal. I
am getting "Cannot connect to AEF Session Server."

I have triple check my NFS settings on both the controller and
terminals. If can change the IPs back to the orginal scheme, all is
well.

This is a V5, SIGUI for the customer display

Any ideas? (This is a bad day)

I think the lane that is a Controller/Terminal will need different IP's,
one for the Controller side (assume DD) another for the terminal. Is
that how it was configured before?

Correct. The controller/terminal has two IPs.

Interesting ... we used to have a couple of stores that had controllers
attached to one of the in-lanes. But we found that lane lost power,
then anything attached to that controller also goes down.

We have since moved both controllers back to the communications cabinet
and put in two different circuits to power it. One for each controller.
It actually helped (especially in smaller stores) as it is the same
configuration that we have in the larger stores.

Hmmm....

I have never set up the terminal side of a Controller/Terminal to have
its own IP. I have always set up C/T's to have one IP address, the
address of the DD.

I believe there is only 1 address for a controller/terminal. It always uses
the controller address.

Just tried the one IP for the controller/terminal and received the same
response.
