Hi Gentlemen. I have tried to use IPDial for backup (I'm using ST-
Connect)

(I will use this If internet line is dead)

For the first time, everythings fine and works great.. but after some
transactions,

the background process of IBM (ACEAPSHL.BPS) is down automatically.

(The service of IPDial in windows & modem works fine). Only the
problem happens on IBM

Anyone knows about this?

OS v5r2 / ACE v6r2

Have good one~~!!

Does the problem go away when you connect ACE directly to 1st Data without
going through the ST Connect/IP Dial PC?

Peace!

Are you using IP rollover to do the switching between ST Connect and
IP Dial? Is it configured correctly?

Here are the configurations of IPRollover, ST-Connect and IPDial

(The configurations are based on FirstData)

Health does need to be checked for host 1 and 2. This way it knows when it needs to switch over.

Yes, I checked Health host 1 at the customer site

But if I check host 2, IPDial trys to connect the Health through the
modem.

=> Keep trying modem connection (The modem dials again, again and
again...it makes connect noise)

so, I don't have to check host 2 (FirstData told me that)

As I told above, the background process on IBM (ACEAPSHL) is down
automatically.

Anyway thank you Bill !!!

Usually that goes down when there is a problem with the account that you are using to approve credit, debit, and EBT. Or there is a problem with the settings for ACEAPSHL, which causes it to time out or disconnect. As a test, you can always enable the hearbeat on the ACEAPSHL.BPS file and set the retry time as 60 seconds so it will keep it alive. If that doesn’t work then the only other resolution is make sure you have the most current version of IPROLLOVER and IPDIAL(which they will show a white and blue 1D icon on the desktop). Also the Java can be causing this as well. Make sure that the updates are not automatic for them. In the control Panel that is a Java icon you can go there and turn the automatic updates off. Being that they might have been already updated, you might have to save your settings for IPDIAL and IPROLLOVER, uninstall them, uninstall the java, and then reinstall IPDIAL AND IPROLLOVER, using the JAVA that is on the Installation CD, then turn off the automatic updates. These are just some ideas, hopefully one of them will work for you.

Has your IP Dial Issue been resolved or is it still going out on you?

Actually I had to ... but I had no time to do it because I was little
bit busy... (I could not even attend to my company... lol)

I was working for a customer who will open the store soon.. so I was
at there for one week...

I'll try it soon if there are nothings to do... (I guess I might be
working for the other stores.... )

After trying, I'll let you know... Thank you Bill.. I appreciate.. for
all.. Have good one.. !!
