We've recently had an issue with a particular FSA card brand being declined at our pharmacies.  Our credit card processor is telling us it is due to our POS passing them a NACS product code that is not eligible for an FSA payment.  I'm not familiar with what that is. I see no mention of it in any ACE documentation nor can I find anything by searching with Google about how this data would be entered or configured in ACE.

I did a little experiment of my own.  I got the product code that was "passed to them" for one of the declined transactions.  I then found another transaction for the same item that was approved by them.  They looked up the product code for that transaction and it was different.  Same store, same item, different product code.  Makes no sense to me.

Is anyone aware of an NACS Product Code?  Is what our card processor telling us accurate?

If it’s only one card brand I would suspect that it’s not in the BIN file. Can you make sure the prefix is in the BIN as an FSA?

Thanks for the reply.  It is in the BIN file and was before the decline was brought to my attention.

I think they are talking about a upc which in your file has a FSA eligible flag turned on and they are saying it's not an eligible item.
So have the store pull down the current list form SIGIS and validate the FSA eligible items against that spreadsheet.  It's supposed to be done monthly.
Thanks,

We pull down and apply the SIGIS list monthly.  That's not what they're talking about.  They say it's a three digit code called a NACS product code.  They're saying that our POS is passing them this code, but I can't find any evidence of this.
