We've had bad luck with the wireless Gryphons, and are in the process of replacing them (with wired Zebra handscanners). Our issues center around the poor connection between the handheld and the base/charger, leading to dead batteries, units losing their RF link to their base, and general unreliability, etc.; it's so much easier to FAIL to properly dock the gun to the base, than it is to actually place it properly. So, we're moving back to cabled scanners.
However, I recently saw a prototype Zebra wireless handscanner that had a foolproof cradle/stand/charger base design. If you're set on wireless, I'd wait for these.
