理化学研究所数理創造研究センターiTEHMSでは、
数理展開部門 AI展開チームに所属して、深層学習を中心としたAIの基礎研究を通じて、
より優れたAI技術の開拓や自然科学への新たな応用に挑戦する研究者を募集します。
AI展開チームには、来年1月に立教大学の瀧雅人氏がチームディレクタに着任（併任）します。

これまでAI研究に関わってこなかった方でも、理論物理学の知見を持ち、
新たな視点でAI研究に取り組む意欲のある方の積極的な応募を歓迎いたします。
AI for Science および　Science for AI どちらの研究でも構いません。

研究員（5年）または特別研究員（3年）
11月21日までに到着した書類から先に選考し、適任者が決まった時点で応募を終了いたします。

At the RIKEN Center, iTHEMS, we are seeking researchers to join the "AI as Science" Team.
Through fundamental research on AI, particularly deep learning, the team aims to pioneer advanced AI technologies
and explore new applications in the natural sciences.

Prof. Masato Taki of Rikkyo University will assume the position of Team Director (concurrent appointment) in January next year.

We also welcome applications from individuals who may not have previously been involved in AI research
but possess expertise in theoretical physics (or mathematical science) and are motivated to approach AI
from a fresh perspective. Research topics may focus on either AI for Science or Science for AI.

Positions available:
Research Scientist (5-year term) or Postdoctoral Researcher (3-year term)

Applications will be reviewed as they are received, starting with those arriving by November 21,
and the recruitment will close once suitable candidates have been selected.
