沖縄科学技術大学院大学　計算機科学分野の教員公募のお知らせ

　沖縄科学技術大学院大学 (OIST, https://www.oist.jp/) は、その将来計画の中で計算機科学分野に新たな焦点を当て、教授、准教授を募集しています。特に、データサイエンス、機械学習、次世代コンピューティングなどを主要なターゲットとして、数理科学や量子デバイス等の進展を生かした新たな計算の枠組みを創造する研究者を求めています。
　優れた学術業績と創造性が選考の主要基準です。特にOISTの研究領域を拡張し、学際的な相互作用を引き起こす研究者を歓迎します。経験に応じてテニュアトラックの准教授、テニュアの教授の採用を行います。着任時期は柔軟に調整可能です。
　OISTの教授、准教授には、複数のポスドクポジションを含む充実した学内研究資金が配分されます。また、CPUおよびGPUクラスターを含む優れた計算機環境を活用できます。研究と教育は英語で行います。

Open Faculty Positions in Computer Science at OIST

Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST, https://www.oist.jp/) is building a new focus in Computer Science as part of its planned expansion and invites applications for its new faculty positions. Targeted areas for the current search include Data Science, Machine Learning, and Next-generation Computing. We aim to recruit scientists who create original computing frameworks based on novel mathematical insights and/or emerging new hardware, including quantum devices.

Excellent scholarship and creativity are the main criteria. We are particularly interested in scholars who complement and extend existing strengths at OIST and have the potential to interact broadly with the interdisciplinary OIST community. Appointments will be Tenure-Track or Tenured. Starting date is flexible.

Faculty positions at OIST are associated with generous internal funding including several postdoc positions. OIST provides excellent computing infrastructures, including clusters of CPU and GPU nodes. Research and teaching are conducted in English.
