Also, we are slowly developing a new method of displaying sat images.
It is still in it's infancy but I'd like to get some comments.

The sat set we are testing with is the global clouds feed which is
updated every three hours. There is a button in the top right of the
map and also in the alerts dashboard. For now, it only works on zoom
levels 0-4 (highest four); the number of zoom levels will be somewhat
dependent on the resolution of the base image.

This method loads the images in small googlized tiles rather than
pouring an entire file onto the map, which can cause browser
sluggishness.
