Dear Members of the Ibex Fraternity,

Thank you for accepting the invite to be a part of the Ibexfamily group. We are happy to have you here and look forward to active participation in making this a lively community.

Listed below are a few House Rules for the group at this juncture:-

        1) Who can be a member?

Any officer of the Ibex Fraternity, Serving or Retired who are volunteers.

Presently we are sending invites to all our members who joined us for the Golden Jubilee Celebrations incl pers who were in communication with us but could finally not make it due to some reason, offrs posted to the centre and some others who are in touch with us while presently  being posted out of the Regt on ERE/staff etc.

We are in the process of getting the compiled list of volunteers amongst offrs presently serving in units.

In time to come, there will be requests for new memberships from other  offrs who have had a tenure in the Nunnu world. Membership for such pers will be duly verified prior to grant of membership by the moderators.

2) What can be posted on the group?

While this group intends to update it's members of "non operational" developments in the LS world, members can either comment/reply to such updates as well as share their personal archives, memories or personal updates.

Members may also share informative and some interesting mails they may receive from some other groups, which may be beneficial to all, however, everybody is requested to use his/her discretion to limit these and resist temptation to press the fwd button and avoid flooding the group with trivia.

3) What cannot be posted to this group?

    a) Operational Matters/Matters with Information Security Sensitivity.

    b) Posting details especially mention of any units/fmns.

    c) References to rank and appointments.

    d) Chain email forwards.

    e) Criticism of any religion.

    f) Pls desist from making any specific queries pertaining to any op moves/deployments/

    and posting any photos/material which may have any op connotation.

    g) Pls desist from sending any anti-virus un-scanned attachments as these have the potential to carry    
    virus/malware in them.

    h) Pls keep any one to one conversations private, once initial contact is established on the group.

    j) Posting of any material with pornographic content or crass humour. 

4) What if I wish to unsubscribe from the group?

This is purely a volunteer grouping and any member at anytime may choose to unsubscribe from the group. All mails to such ids will be stopped by the moderator.

5) Pls Note:-

    a)   As per existing rules on subject, serving offrs should not have an emailid that discloses their rank.

    b)  An excel sheet will soon be fwd to collate basic data and members will be requested to fill the same and we
    would be generating auto mails on marriage anniversaries and birthdays. Members however, are requested to
    refrain from sending greetings on the group id and will please send mails to indl email ids to avoid flooding of      
    the group.

    c) Members are also invited to recommend those whom they know who served in LS to become members and the
    group moderator would do the needful after due verification.

We will attempt to further refine our operating procedure as we go along through mails from the moderators.

Any other suggestions from our senior fraternity are welcome.
