Hi all,

When using autoibamr is there a method to continue to build when it stops, or to fix an existing build and recompile broken portions?

I had a cluster build fail due failing to download something (no indication why) but it would be nice to restart rather than re-run the beginning portions. Also while adding a debug build, one of the libraries got corrupted via a script bug on my end. Similarly I'd like to rebuild only the portions that are currently incomplete.

Thank you,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Unfortunately the answer is no - autoibamr does not support any kind of partial work. You'll have to start from the beginning.

That being said, especially on clusters, if you run with a large number of concurrent jobs (e.g., ./autoibamr.sh -j32) it should finish in perhaps 20-30 minutes: i.e., recompiling things shouldn't be excessively expensive.

Best,
David Wells

Hi David,

Good to know, will re-run. It's a phenomenal tool and a huge time saver.

Thank you,
Alex
