IBAMR 0.17: September 30, 2025

IBAMR Developers —

We are planning to release IBAMR 0.17 by 9/30. There are a number of lingering pull requests that I would like to try to get over the hump before the release. In anticipation of the release, let’s try to get any PRs that we want in the release ready to merge by next Friday, 9/26. I have a list of pending PRs here that I think are candidates for merging before the freeze deadline. I think that Aaron has a few larger ones that might be more of a stretch, but which also would be great to wrap up.

I’d also like to ask folks to close PRs that we should abandon and to clear out old branches that will not (or are unlikely to be) merged.

And let me know how I can help with any of this — I do anticipate having time both to review and write code over the next week. 😅
