Updating to newer versions of IBal

I have been using iBal since it first became available, and assisted in adding the B407 and Enstrom family of helicopters to iBal. I'm interested in updating to the latest version and would like to know if I will lose my custom acft definitions if I purchase ands install the latest version? (My current version is prior to the 2012 change in ownership.)

Hello,

Yes, if you do no more than install the new version, the aircraft definitions
in your old pre-2012 version will be lost.
You might consider Send ing the old definitions to yourself by email. You will
then be able to import them into your new version.

Hi Rick,

In the old version of iBal
Go to the Aircraft Edit page of each aircraft you want to preserve.
Tap on Send in the upper right corner

Install iBal Rotary.

In the new version of iBal Rotary:
Get your mail.
Open the mail of each aircraft you sent
iPhone will offer to import the aircraft into iBal Rotary. Accept.

Thanks for your help. Moved my Bell 407 and Enstrom 480 to iBal Rotary without a hitch on both my iPhone and iPad. Have been recommending iBal to my helo pilot friends and demonstrated it at Bell Training Academy when there for training in April. A high value app!

I realize Apple won't let me update my pre-2012 version but does anyone know if I can transfer my original app from my previous iPad to my new mini?
