Literary event in Tzfat with Judy Lev and David Kurz

Noted author and writing teacher Judy Lev will read from her new book Bethlehem Road: Stories of Immigration and Exile on Sunday, February 8, at the Geiger English Library, 38 Rechov Yerushalayim in Tzfat, starting at 3 pm. She will be accompanied by her partner, David Kurz, who will read from his just completed novel Bruria. 

Judy's book consists of a dozen profiles of people whom she met while residing in the Baka neighborhood of Jerusalem. Reviews of the book appear on her web site www.judylev.com. Bruria is a work of historical fiction that takes place in Gamla, Jerusalem, and Yavneh during the five years preceding the destruction of the Second Temple. Ben Zakai plays a prominent role in the story. Both books will be for sale at the reading.
