This Elul I am offering a series of single-session writing workshops built around the Viduy — the confessional prayer we recite ten times on Yom Kippur. Not as liturgy to be analyzed. As a map. Because the Viduy is, at its heart, one of the most precise and courageous documents in our tradition: a person standing with her community before what she has been, and choosing, with full honesty and without self-punishment, to return.
