Hi,
Last night I created a safety cloud account for our company. I am now testing it myself before getting the other users to join. IT IS NOT GOING WELL.

First thing that happened was that even though it was selected on the migrate list, the main template we use was deleted. Fortunately I got one of the other guys to export the template to me. It kept on getting deleted too but I assumed that was because I wasn't the author. So I duplicated and renamed it and that now appears fixed. But very scary.

Second. It was now trying to sync all the completed audits. It is doing one or two then just hanging up. I can cancel the sync and try again and I may get another one or two more appearing on the cloud. I'm doing this cancel and restarting of the sync from the app on the ipad. Not good.

Third. On the cloud (looking at it from my laptop) many show a score of 0%. Which is not correct.

Fourth. On the cloud (looking at it from my laptop) when I click on the export button to view the report, the layout is NOT the same as on the ipad. The cover page for example is different. Why?

Fifth. If I log out of my safety cloud account on the ipad. EVERYTHING DISAPPEARS!! What happens if I want to stop using safety cloud? I loss everything?????

FYI: Company name = Alabama League of Municipalities

Thanks.

Also I notice that the first photo in the audit that is used on the audit list is orientated incorrectly on the safety could list. The ipad list is correct but the safety cloud list shows the pictures turned 90 degrees to the left I think. On all of them except one.

I also noticed that for some reason syncing also caused by profile logo on my ipad to get removed again (also happened after the last update). Easy fix of inserting the image back in again of course but I wanted to let you know.

Hello Richard,

Thank you for your feedback. You only have to log in to SafetyCloud once, and as long as you don't tap on the Logout button, you will retain your access to your audits and templates, even without internet connection. Your device will sync with SafetyCloud once you have internet connection again.

If you were using a SafetyCloud account and then signed out of that account, then your data may be hidden from view, and you will be able to view it again once you log back into the SafetyCloud account you were using.

As for the other issues, you've mentioned, I will forward them to one of our engineers and will get back to you as soon as they have completed investigating this issue for you.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Sincerely,

Haydee

Also, if you would like to discontinue using SafetyCloud, you can reverse migrate your data from your SafetyCloud account back to iAuditor. This will cease further sync and backup of your information, but will not delete templates and audits from your SafetyCloud account.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Sincerely,
Haydee

OK. Thanks. I think I finally did get everything copied to the cloud but it took 10 to 15 "cancel" and "sync" attempts to get it done.

1. So am I understanding this correctly that all my templates and audits are still physically on my ipad but because they are now "linked" to a safetycloud account you can't see them unless you are logged into that account?

2. So if you were an independent working for several different companies you could log in and out of the respective safetycloud accounts and it would list only those associated with that account even though ALL of them are physically on the ipad? Basically the safetycloud account "filters" the list of templates and audits shown on the ipad?

3. Assuming the above is true. That means that "deactivating" and "reverse migrating" basically doesn't move any data (as it was always still on the ipad all along), it just "disassociates" the templates and audits from that safetycloud account. True?

4. Did my template keep getting deleted because I wasn't the "author"? How does the sync handle "author" and "non-author" owned templates?

5. So the export settings/profile SHOULD have been migrated over too? Meaning the export button in my safetycloud account should generate a pdf looking exactly like the export on my ipad?

6. Deleting a template or audit. Regardless of whether it is deleted from the ipad or the safetycloud account, that will cause BOTH copies (ipad and cloud) to get permanently deleted. Correct?

Sorry for all the questions but I need to make sue I have all this very clearly in my head how it works as I will be responsible for explaining all this to our other users.
Thanks.

Yes, they are hidden from view when you are not signed in to your SafetyCloud account but they are still on your device.

2. Yes, it acts out as a filter.

3. Assuming the above is true. That means that "deactivating" and "reverse migrating" basically doesn't move any data (as it was always still on the ipad all along), it just "disassociates" the templates and audits from that safetycloud account. True?
Yes, it does disassociate the account from that data.

4. Did my template keep getting deleted because I wasn't the "author"? How does the sync handle "author" and "non-author" owned templates?
This should not be happening. I have forwarded this issue on to one of our iAuditor engineers and I will get back to you as soon as they are finished investigating this issue.

5. So the export settings/profile SHOULD have been migrated over too? Meaning the export button in my safetycloud account should generate a pdf looking exactly like the export on my ipad?
No, export settings are device-specific and is not yet available on SafetyCloud.

6. Deleting a template or audit. Regardless of whether it is deleted from the ipad or the safetycloud account, that will cause BOTH copies (ipad and cloud) to get permanently deleted. Correct?
Yes, regardless of where you delete it, doing this will remove both copies (SafetyCloud and iAuditor) of your data. Also, if you are sharing templates to other users, any user that delete a template will delete it for everybody, not just themselves.

Please let me know if you have more questions.

Sincerely,
Haydee

Hello Richard,

Could you please let me know if the file that keeps on getting deleted was exported as an iAuditor Template (.iat)? or was it exported as Template CSV? When importing a .iat file it will retain its original template ID. Duplicating the template will give it a new ID so it wont be removed.

This will be fixed soon.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Sincerely,
Haydee

It was an iat file.

I'm more concerned why my original copy was never migrated and was deleted right from the start. If no one else had it to export to me as an iat file I would have been in real trouble.

Thanks

Richard

Any news on some of the original issues?

1. Most scores are 0% on the safetycloud. I have now done some testing and if I go into a completed old audit on the ipad. Do nothing other than click "finish" at the end and then resync it, the score is corrected on the cloud. Does that mean I have to go through ALL my old completed audits and do that?

2. The icon photo on the cloud is turned 90% to the left. It's not orientated correctly.

3. In general what are the "rules" with the icon photo use next to an audit. Now on my ipad most have NO photo or profile logo. On the cloud any that have a picture in audit have it (but see #2), but if no pictures where taken in the audit, it's blank too. Frankly, I don't really like the photos being used as most have a fire extinguisher, unlocked gate. Not very useful. I would like the option to just use the profile logo for all.

4. Any news of when the export options used on the ipad will be available on the cloud so the export button on the cloud generates the same pdf as on the ipad?

Thanks.

Hi Richard,

1. The "Finish" button in iAuditor pushes through the notification to SafetyCloud that the audit is complete. This is also true for iAuditor, as tapping the "Finish" button will change an audit's status from "Incomplete" to "Complete". I will pass on your feedback about the scores not displaying correctly before this time, however.

2. SafetyCloud pulls those images directly from your device, so there may be an error in the upload process causing the photos not to display correctly. To assist us with investigating, could you please confirm whether this is in the "Templates" view or the "Audits" view?

3. The audit icon image is the first photo taken during an audit. If you conduct an audit with not photos taken, then the Template icon will be the image used. SafetyCloud pulls this image from iAuditor, and we are looking at changing this to be a dynamic option, but I do not have a time frame for this. We are working on other projects at the moment that have taken higher priority.

As of the 2.3 update, there are now labels in iAuditor that allow you to sort and view your audits and templates by a colour-coded and title label, or labels. This will allow you to view just one label's audits or templates, and this will be added to SafetyCloud, as well. For the immediate time being, labels are only visible in iAuditor.

4. We are working on a more uniform format for PDF exporting from SafetyCloud, but this will not be the full suite of export options available in iAuditor. This is something else that we are working on for SafetyCloud, but I do not have a time frame for this as of yet.

Kind Regards,
Taylor Young

Hi Taylor,

1. The audits without the score showing have all been "completed". The problem maybe based on the fact that they were completed using a previous version of the app. So maybe just going into the audit, past the first info page, and hit done to get out, now using the new version, fixes the problem. I don't even have to hit "complete" again. Just a thought.

2. Yes it's the thumbnail image next to the audit in the audit view on SafetyCloud.

3. Not only are the images turned 90 degrees on SafetyCloud but they seem to sometimes be next to the audit in the app and other times gone again just leaving the check mark, not even the template icon. They will reappear if I go into the audit and back out again. Not a big deal but odd.

4. As for the export options on SafetyCloud, I assume the plan is to match all the exporting in the app right? So we can generate the exact same PDF from SafetyCloud as we can the app. If you can't, what's the point?

Thanks.

Richard
